Since January 2025, Parker has been working as Research Volunteer for the New Canaan Historical Society. She aims to expand the provenance of each object, including wearer and donor information, estimated design date, and importance to fashion history. Her work has been featured on Charlotte Engel’s, the curator, social media and in the historical society’s American 250 exhibition titled “Red, White, and Worn” that highlighted how major events in American history shaped fashion. One of her greatest discoveries were that two objects listed as “party costumes” which were worn to a ball celebrating the 100th anniversary of the United States were not reproduction objects from the 19th century, but rather original pieces from the 18th century.
